Heather Grant is a poet and writer.

She started writing poetry at age 11, publishing her first poem in the high school journal. Heather writes of her experiences in and with the natural world in the different regions where she has lived. She is a former elementary ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher who taught her students poetry to help them learn English. 

Chris Kosky, bassist, and Heather perform her poems in a variety of venues in the duo Turn of Phrase, conversations between a poet and bassist. Heather lives in Falls Church, Virginia with her jazz drummer husband, Web.
